BOARD EDUCATION AND TRAINING

When someone is elected or appointed to an Association’s Board of Directors they are often surprised to learn about the scope and severity of their responsibilities. Board directors are held to the highest standard of care under the law in that they are deemed “fiduciaries” that must uphold certain duties when making decisions and taking actions on behalf of their communities. We have learned that an educated board is the key to a successful and stable community. In order to educate Boards, we have our blog, newsletters, and educational print materials. Further, we provide at no charge Board member training sessions that address the duties and responsibilities of Board members.
